General Terms of Service
Photo & Media Use
AK Lawn Maintenance may take photos or videos of your property for documentation and advertising purposes, including use on our website, social media, and marketing materials.
Automatic Renewal of Recurring Services
All recurring services (such as lawn mowing, winter maintenance, and snow removal) automatically renew each year. Service continues annually unless the customer provides written cancellation before the start of the new season.
Card on File Requirement
All clients must maintain an active card on file/ACH to be able to sign up for service. Clients will be prompted to input their info before being able to accept an estimate.
This card may be charged automatically for completed services, recurring charges, overdue balances, or any fees stated in future sections. Customers are responsible for keeping their payment information current.
Down Payments
Any job over $700 will require a 50% down payment to get on to our schedule. This allows us to guarantee work for our employees and keep the company running smoothly.
Mowing Terms of Service
Service Dates
While we try our hardest to come out on the same day every week, the weather doesn’t always cooperate. We will generally be at your property within 1 day + or - of your regularly scheduled day. If for any reason we cannot complete service in this time frame, we will reach out.
Overgrown Fee
If your lawn requires extra mowing, concrete edging, or trimming during the initial visit, we will apply an overgrown fee that is generally 1x-2x your normal mowing price but depends on how tall the grass is.
Example: If your weekly mowing price is $50, your total initial mow price will be between $100-$150 in most cases.
Drought Services
When mowing isn’t needed due to drought or lack of growth, we will substitute mowing with other valuable maintenance services. This includes picking up sticks, pulling weeds, edging concrete and landscape beds, trimming shrubs, or blowing leaves (if in the Fall). We will be on your property for the same amount of time as mowing, and you will be billed for the normal amount.
Winter Maintenance
During the non-mowing season (Mid November - March), we convert all of our mowing clients to our winter maintenance program. We will come out during these months on a bi-weekly basis and complete similar services as our drought services. These services include stick/debris pick up, leaf clean up, cutting back perennials, pulling weeds, edging around concrete and landscape beds, trimming shrubs/trees, and any other outdoor maintenance that may be needed.
We will once again spend the same amount of time on your property as it takes for each mowing service, and you will be billed the same amount as your mowing price.
Snow Removal Terms of Service
Completion Timing
Due to how unpredictable snow fall can be, we cannot guarantee exact completion times. However, we make an extreme effort to clear the snow in a reasonable amount of time. The severity of snowfall plays a large role in the timing of our services.
We aim to complete our snow removal routes within 7 hours after snow fall ends. In extreme cases, we may have to perform multiple visits, which will extend completion time. In the event that there is a severe blizzard or white out, we reserve the right to pause operations for the safety of our team.
Damages and Customer Responsibilities
While we take many precautions to avoid damages by using proper techniques and equipment, we cannot guarantee a lack of damage to the grass or hidden items under the snow. We use snow stakes to help guide us, but they are not perfect.
